    Sevierville/ Pigeon Forge

I will be going to Sevierville the week before Christmas, can anyone point me to reasonably close creeks (within 60 miles or so) that may hold gold? Really appreciate it.

Most of the gold is on the NC side of the mountains. May want to look for info there.

Actually there are several within a few miles of Pigeon Forge. The Townsend side has had numerous documented gold discoveries over the years. Try the east side of Chilhowee Mountain. You will find this by taking the parkway in Townsend and over to 129. I live just a few miles from this area and plan to do some additional searching myself. Be Careful!! The National Park Boundary is also not far from this area and the use of detectors in the Park is a NO NO.

Should have said most will be in creeks on the east side of the mountains but mostly in NC.
