There were two different models. The older wasn't a µMax and operated at 10 kHz. It weighed 3.5 lbs. and took 8 AA's. The µMax model has the frequency shift and operates at 10.2-10.4-10.6 kHz, uses a 9v battery and weighs 2.2 lbs.
