    Silver uMax Coils

I've seen repeated posts about adding the 10x12 coil to the Silver uMax and turning it into a depth demon.

But what about the 9x8? Has anyone used that? Impressions?

I only ask because I'm not sure about the weight the 10x12 would add and how cumbersome it would be to use.

i 've had the set up and in my experience the 12 x 10 coil worked very well on the silver the 9 x 8 no difference to speak of between that and the 8" donut but that 12 x 10 coil i swear added 3" to my silver on average but the disc seemed to not work as good also tried the 12 x 10 on the golden to and that was a no go no extra depth and changed the tone, never did try it on my deleon i had but on the silver on the prob

I found air testing the 8" donut and the 8x9 spoked.
No difference in performance on the Silver.

I agree here, but the 9x8 sure is a breeze to pinpoint with (not that it's hard with the donut).

Hi all, has anyone tried the 5.75 coil set up on the Silver umax? What are the pros and cons.
