    New Cibola

Just bought mine yesterday and if I can get over this cold I'm going to go use it.

Has anyone ever used the 10" elliptical on it? If so, how did you like it?

    Re: New Cibola

    Hi Rey.

I've owned a lot of detectors over the past few years, but I always come back to Tesoro. That's not to say there is anything wrong with other brands, I just sort of connect better with Tesoro.

Hunting the beaches these days is kind of hit or miss and your Silver uMax is just fine for the dry sand of the beach. Can't say how well it does in wet sand, but I'm guessing you'll have to crank your sensitivity down and lose a lot of depth. That wet salt sand is a very tough environment to hunt in.

And you are right. If it isn't fun, then its work. And metal detecting should never be considered work.

    Re: New Cibola

    Congrats on the Cibola!

I got one back in Feb. Very pleased with mine.

I havent gotten any other coils, reason being that it has no manual ground balance, putting a new coil on it might make it out of tune. Heard guys send the Cibola back to Tesoro with the new coil to tune em up to each other.

On the other hand, I havent heard of guys complaining about swapping out coils and them not working right.
