Well, I can tell you my basic setup for beach hunting.

Water or Nylon belt, mesh bag with belt loop, water bottle holder with belt loop, and a hip mount cover that Tesoro makes for the Sand Shark.

You'll be glad you have all three.

On yes, and get yourself a good sand scoop, one that has a kick plate on the rear and not just wire mesh. That kick plate is an important feature. You might also want to tie wrap and couple of small bar magnets to the inside bottom of the scoop to capture the small metal targets that might slide through the holes.
