New equivelent to an old cutlass

I have an old Tesoro Cutlass that has seen better days but I love it and of the machines I have it is my fav. I would like to know what the new equivalent to it would be. I have a Compadre and it just falls short of the Cutlass, a BH LandStar it's ok and an old Whites Coinmaster that is too heavy I want to stay with Tesoro if I can. Any suggestions out there? Thanks

Lash out and get yourself a Vaquero & you will be a happy camper.
    Or maybe a Bandido Micromax.

    Just thoughts.

    Cheers

I would send the old Cutlass into the Tesoro factory and let them refurbish it for you.

The successor to the Cutlass uMax is the Silver uMax. The controls are nearly identical, and the Silver has a variety of coils available. If you slap the 12x10 coil on it, the Silver is reported to have amazing depth.

Is it the old Cuttlass NON UMAX?
If it is than it is a step below the Silver sabre II not silver Umax.
I had one as my first detector and it was very good.

Couldn't say if the Cutlass had uMax technology or not, I'm not that sophisticated about electronics.

Cutlass or Silver, they both find metal and do it well, so if you like your Cutlass, by all means keep using it!

    Hi

Thanks to all for the advice....I think I am going with the Vaquero AND sending the old faithful non-umax Cutlass in for the needed face lift. As stated before you can't beat the Tesoro line (once you know your machine) and the lifetime warranty clenches the deal for me.
