    Golden uMax

I had a great hunt this morning. Two parks that I had hunted before with my Compadre.

Now that I am starting to get used to the tones, it is a real pleasure to dig only those high tones if I just feel like coin hunting.

The high tone either means its a coin or something large buried deep and it doesn't take long to tell the difference. If its not a coin, the sound is a bit scratchy.

I'm not sure if its the detector or just coincidence, but I dug 18 dimes. Wow. That sets a record for me.

I also dug 18 pennies (not a zincoln in the bunch, I notched those out), 5 quarters and only one nickel.

I dug only a few pieces of trash.

I have to say if you're a coin shooter, the Golden uMax would be very hard to pass up!

Glad to hear. I am thinking of getting that or the vaquero.

I have looked at the Vaquero, but as my soil is mild here in Florida, I have not seen the need for manual ground balancing.

    Yet.
