Zero Depth Sterling

I used my new-tone Golden uMax for an hour in a local park this morning. Most of the ground was dry, some was irrigated and muddy. In the dry area, I heard a high pitched signal, got ready to dig up the target, but there on the surface, at the base of the blades of grass, was a silver ring, marked inside as WAA Ster. It would not have been noticeable to someone walking there, so it required a metal detector to find. So I can boast of the depth of the find, zero!
