Lots of history there for all the makers. I had a Compass X-70 years ago that I gave to a friend. Wonder if he still has it.

Thanks Terry! I just picked up an old Stingray in great shape at a yard sale, but didn't have a clue about it's capabilities until I saw your link. I was guessing it was underwater capable but now I know for sure.

I gave my son an Amigo about 20 or so years ago. He still has it and just used it to locate his septic tank lids so it still works.

Being a younger detectorist, I had a skewed perception growing up of why a person would want to dig up someone else’s trash. Now here I am, obsessed with other people’s dropped items. And I ONLY use tesoro detectors. I view them as the diesel pickup of detectors. Raw business. Wishing this company the best. I will buy their stuff until I’m dead! That’s a cool link. I hope they never conform and build some yuppy screened out digital multi verse crap. They would be better of resting in peace. The whole fun is having minimal idea what is in the dirt, uncovering a site 1 hole at a time, recover the target in seconds(because my Tesoro pinpoints perfectly everytime) doing research, putting yourself in a good place mentally and physically, and then get let down, then try again, find silver, find buttons, then knock on doors, and start again. Not studying a screen to decide why not to dig. Sorry if that was too much, but I just read all 15x posts on “10 reasons not to buy a tesoro” and watched the vid the other day. Talk about terrible timing. Jeez. I feel like a family member is dying or something. Also have to test my machines on silver now. We all know the truth over here in this corner! Long live tesoro.

Your machines will do just fine on silver. YouTube is full of nonsense.
