Can I use my Silver uMax coil on my Tejon detector?

I just purchased a Tejon and find the coil a little heavy. I wonder if I can use the Silver uMax coil on the Tejon. It is liter and smaller so I think it would be better in trashy areas also. I saw where one person was using different coils that might not have been Tesoro brand.

Click in the two types of coils near the bottom to get a listing of models.

Nope. The Tejon uses the "Delta" (4 pin) type of coil connector.
The Silver uMax uses the Epsilon type (5 pin).

I got both and just looked at them side by side. Another confirmed "nope" I'm afraid. Different plugs.

Be happy with your Silver and your Tejon. I have both too ! Last time I used the Silver in a pasture that had been a CW Camp , I extended the coil all the way out and it was so light that i was making big 10 foot sweeps ! My friend with me with the Etrac eyes got big ! LOL

As stated the pins (connector) is different as I believe the Tehon is a H.O.T. circuitry detector and the other is not so won't fit The Tehon-Cibola-Vaquero are same heads other heads are either 10 hz or 12 hz so wont work. rwd mo
