I do think their land detectors look like something from the early 70's but from what I read, they work! So why change up something that works......call me crazy. I am contemplating a Compadre for my daughter when she gets a tad older for simplicity and me a Sand Shark for the beach. I like two things on the surface of this company, for starters they are US made or they say totally and secondly they come with lifetime warranties!

So I am giving them a go on the next purchase. Oh don't get me wrong, love my Nokta Fors Core and will not part with it. Just need a beach unit and in a few years a entry level for my daughter.

Thanks Danny! I think we can just end it here though. Since Nathan's rant we have heard no mention of the Cazador from Tesoro, let alone any plans to produce it.

i believe thats the biggest issue about it, not one word. After the announcement and name thing, they just dropped out of social media. They are the one's who announced it. Customer's were not pressuring them for a new one. It's like they came up with it during 3or4 day's of partying. Then, they came down, got some sleep, and realized they should not have let Nathan on the computer while they were partying. LOL

Could be hot or cold users. Sometimes your hot and sometimes your not. Don't know.
You could go back 3-4 years or more & read complaints of hot & cold Vaquero's, but I never really hear about this type of inconsistency with other machines. Turn sens up to 10, disc to zero & swing a quarter under the coil. It's an air test, not brain surgery. If one guy does this & gets 12" on a quarter & another guy using the same settings gets 8", it is not likely that it's the user's fault.

Show us that post from 4-years ago. "If" you can actually produce one, i'm positive it will be from a Whites dealer! :laughing7:

It would be better if one person tested two or more machines identically under the same conditions and settings. Of course the machines would have to be brand new. That would be the way to test your theory. But who is going to do that.

From what I've read and videos I've seen across 3-4 different forums by 40 year veterans the general consensus is some are way hotter than others especially in the Vaquero and Cibola machines.

I hope so because I am rooting for Tesoro but have noticed some being hotter than others myself amongst the many I have owned. I do not want them to become digitalized like Fisjers but the same features as a DeepTech Vista Gold on a Vaquero would be sweet!

I too have had some detectors hotter than the run of the mill. I have also had a couple that were a POS, but never a Tesoro. I've changed coils and some were still hotter than the others.

Will there be a new Tesoro for 2016?
Hello all.
Wondering if anyone knows of a new Tesoro machine this year.
I heard rumors last year at this time, but I haven't seen a new model yet?
Thanks

Time to change the year

Wow you're a bit late too the party, lol. It has been well over 2 years that Tesoro announced plans to produce a new model. Doubt it will happen this year either.

Tesoro is never going to release another machine.

Their technology is 25-years old.

Their quality control is so poor, some machines of the same model are "hotter" than others.

Tesoro machines won't find gold.

Tesoro machines are really made in China.

Tesoro stole my girlfriend / boyfriend.

They Promised! They Promised us a new machine last year and then didn't deliver!

Tesoro hurt my feelings.

Does that about sum it up for all of you Whites Whiners? We all know your favorite whine, and now we know who is cuttin' the cheese as well! Here is the 2016 thread boys and girls - Have Fun!
