Since someone on here (I won't mention any names :angel11: ), keeps buying up all the used Tesoros.... I just ordered a new Tejon from Kellyco. It should be here in 2 days. I'm stoked!

It will not be my primary machine, but i will use it to hit some areas that my partner and I have "cleaned" out. I will also use it as my relic machine. I'll use this thread as my Tejon log and post here with finds occasionally.

Nice going! I sure don't have the Tejon mastered yet! I do know one thing for sure, it has a super fast recovery speed in iron. You can pick out silver coins at nail laden sites even if you have the discrimination set just high enough to discriminate out a foil cap. It works even better when the discrimination is set just high enough to discriminate out iron nails. Make sure you know where those exact points are on the discrimination dial by doing your own testing.

So it came in yesterday and I took it out for about 2 hours to a local park that has been over-hunted. I managed to dig a clad quarter, a clad dime and 4 wheats (1937, 1942d, 1944d, 1949d). This machine is going to take some learning, but i was happy with my first hunt!

Bad news. I took it out last night and after about and hour and a half, the machine died. It had 7.5 hours on it. I called Kellyco this morning and they gave me a label to send it back to them for free. They said as soon as they receive it, they will send me a new machine. Sad face for breaking. Happy face with Kellyco making it easy to solve. :sad5: :D

I got out of detecting for a few years and when I came back I was excited at all the different models. This time around I have decided to have fun and take a lot of detectors with me on civil war hunts just to enjoy all the models. I mostly use the Vaquero and I switch to the Tejon when things get serious. If I could only pick one detector to own it would be the Tejon. Its ground balance is a bit touchy but you get use to it. The Tejon is not as stable as a Vaq but I love its features

I ordered the new 8x11 rds coil, so, as soon as my new Tejon comes in and the coil comes in, I will make it the permanent coil for my Tejon. More updates to come.

My coil came in 2 days ago and my Tejon is due back today. I can't wait to get out this evening although I'm not sure there's a coin left to find in our go-to park. We shall see!

It was nice to get out with the Tejon again yesterday. I didn't find much: 2 clad dimes, 3 stinkin Lincolns, a 1955 wheat and a 1910 Wheat. Oh, and what I originally thought was a trash earring which is turning out to possibly be gold. Anyways, it was fun!

Got out Saturday to a church built in 1840. Found the bullets that I showed in another post. Also found a toasted V Nickel that I spent all weekend trying to clean enough to get a date. It appears to be a 1910 or 1912. I was really hoping to have joined the 1800s club with it. Oh well, it's still my first V Nickel! Also found a little modern clad.

Those are some really super nice finds, but they don't really count unless you post your Tesoro detector finds in the Tesoro Detector Forum. LOL

This weekend I had a permission hunt for Saturday and a different permission for Sunday. I started each morning with the F75 and then switched to the Tejon about half way in. I'm only listing my Tejon finds.

Saturday, I found a 1944 wheat, a rolled out penny with an event stamped on it, a spoon and the locket pictured below. Sunday, I found a small amount of clad, another 1944 wheat, a 1956 Mexican 10 Centavos and the 1942s pictured below. That's my first silver with the Tejon and I'm pretty stoked about it!!!
