A local pawn shop has an El Dorado, the older metal box version.
It was marked $150, now has a clearance sticker marked $50.
Its old, grungy, and rough looking.
The battery box and battery box cover are both missing.

Any thoughts? Would it be worth taking a chance on?
Could I snap a 9v battery on the wire to test it?
:dontknow:

I don't really need it. I like wandering through some of the thrift stores and pawn shops looking for MD and other hobby stuff.

I thought it might be a machine that I could experiment with a bit.

The only new machine I am really interested in at this time is the Compadre with a 5.75" coil.

Different tools for different jobs!

I hunted with one for ten years. They operate about like todays detectors. They are powerful.
