Here you go! I taped up its mouth where it wouldn't get sand in it.

I like the audio from the Mojave's speaker a lot better with the tape over it. The audio that I like best from the Mojave comes through my Killer B Headphones. It's smooth and sweet and not anything close to what comes out of the Mojave's speaker.

What kind of handle grip is that on the vaquero?
Mine is wearing thin and would like to replace it but can't figure out how I'd slide it on lol.

It is a bandage material you can get it at Wally World. I believe the brand name is Coban it is a self adhesive tape that sticks to itself and can be removed too.

Oh OK. Thanks guys. They also use it for dressings to hold on gauze. Good call.
I'll grab some and just wrap the heck out of mine lol. It's not ripped or anything but it was a well used vaquero and the diameter of it is noitceably thinner than my other units.
Someone really used the heck out of it.
It's a 25th anniversary model so it's from 05.
But rather than change it I can just do that which will be good for my others too so I don't get them all muddy.
I see that you can but the handles, but given how well they are on the detector I can't figure out how to install it.
When I was a child and replaced handlebar handgrips, I'd wet them and they would twist on then when the water dried they were stuck on. Those were rubber. These will absorb water so not sure.
I'd hate to cut mine off only to find I can't get a new one on lol

Anyway thanks for the info and I'll let the thread get back on track. I'll try and post a pic of mine if I get off work on time.
