I want my old Vaquero back. There are great in open areas without a lot of nail pits.

Yes!
I take different detectors to different areas.

Nail infested deus

Clean and deep is now the Vaquero.

The vaq is going with me to an often moist abandoned ball field where super deep targets are. I dug an 11 inch wheat with monster coil on Etrac. Hoping Vaquero opens the site back up.

Very impressive. The Vaquero has a reputation as a deep machine among other things.

Is the Deus good in old public park?

Well from my experience yes and no.
I hunted one that is about 80 years old I dug so many crown caps (even using 4khz check) and still foiled me a lot. I got sick of digging them so I left.

My Etrac was so good at ID I rarely dug them at any park.

This is why I have several detectors.

In heavy iron I take the deus.

Minelab is excellent in trashy conditions due to its descrim and ID circuits.

Clean sites will now be deus or Vaquero for pure raw depth.

To be honest, it could be falsing and just sounding off to the hole you dug, when you sweep around the hole it's beeping away at leisure, it could be hitting any old thing that is in the spoil that you filled the hole with.

I've always felt that my f75 was a deep and accurate machine but to be honest I always pull silver out of spots with my tejon that I've hunted with my fisher. Usually deeper coins. I love switching up from vdi to beep and dig. Nice change and I feel my tesoro keeps me honed no matter what machine is being used.

Its not falsing over the hole. That is a repeatable signal of the quarter. I checked before I dug the hole in all metal mode and no other signals. When I dug the 15 inch hole before placing the coin, it was quiet upon swinging.

The soil is very high Loam content and Low minerals and no iron around so it can go deep.

The new 11" x 8" DD coil is a Killer! I put one on my original Bandido, and hit a Dime at an honest 10" with it! I Believe!:notworthy::skullflag:

That must be very mild ground, it seems to be offering no resistance to the signal, you'll probably get the most out of any detector in that soil, your very lucky!!

Correct. Very mild soil that is clean excellent results can be had.

98% of the time this is not the case. I hunt in garbage filled parks of iron heavy lots. But this does tell me what it’s capable of at least in near perfect conditions.
