The DeLeon is a excellent machine. Don't let a strip of Velcro be the deciding factor for go or no go. You can buy a strip of Velcro and attach it yourself on the arm cuff. It wouldn't be rocket science.

Personally I HATE the strap on the EX II. The Deleon is no problem without one. The Deleon is a GREAT machine.

The light weight and good balance of the DeLeon makes a velcro strap completely UNnecessary.

Thanks all. Having a strap allows me to let go of the detector if I need to use my swinging hand for something, like taking a two handed scoop, and I seem to do that alot. Don't want to have to pick up and put the thing down all the time.

Mine came with one but I have never used it......so darn light weight, no problem to just set it down and pick it back up.
