Found this CW beauty on SPI a few feet from our umbrella not even a minute into the hunt in about 5 inches of sand. It was so unexpected I just stared at it for a while then I skipped over to my wife like a 5 year old with a new toy. :) IT FELT GRRRREAT!!!!!!!!!!! 8)

Were you at Isla Blanca park or on the open beach past Andy Bowie towards Mansfield?

a minet ball (civil war), there were a lot of troops on SPI during civil war, both confederates and blue bellies. At one time there were supposedly 50k union troops on Brazos island. nice find, probably put in there with the fill sand.
