Well I'm new to El Paso area and did some ghost town research, did web sites even checked out a book on Texas ghost towns. Well found out that Smelter town was only 20 minutes from where I live and loaded up the wife and kids and low and behold it was a border patrol HQ's. Come to find out the leveled it and can't even get close to the original area, it's sad because the write up said many things to see. Just FYI for the Texas folks. I will be sending a post to the web site that is still active for it.
