Hello:

I am new to Texas as I have come from NC.

I miss detecting the beaches of NC and would like to try the Texas beaches as the ground here is too darn hard :laughing7:

What are the rules of detecting the Texas beaches?

I understand people may not want to give away their productive spots, but any advice on the rules is appreciated.

Thank you,
David

No hunting at Padre Island State Park, some areas you need a permit (La Port for sure) No hunting any state park for that matter. No hunting Harris County owned parks. Houston parks are cool. Galveston is cool but there is a club there that hunts them. But there are miles of beaches. Never had any luck the few times I hunted Galveston. Hot, smelly , buggy.
