Cold Springs is a lost location on the Trinity River in Ft. Worth that has been a known stop for travelers since the first white man crossed that area. It was a bubbling clear water spring that the fort used for drinking water until they dug their own fresh water well. It was used by many as a stop off and many high society events were held there. I believe that President Cleveland even made a speech at the springs. Many an army encampment was set up temporarily near the springs and along the Trinity close by.
I could go on and on about its history but you get the idea.

Cold Springs

Cold Springs was located off of Cold Springs Road, now covered over by fill. And it was concreted in about 1910 or so, due to agreement with the Water Department of Fort Worth.

Any local DFW guys searched for the location of Cold Springs?
Been doing a lot of research and if one was to find the exact location it could be a mega dig.
A lot of my research has left clues but not the exact location. I will be doing some recon this week and maybe a grid search on a couple areas this weekend.
