Wondering how there's not a huge thread / sticky about this considering it's one of the few (if not, the only) gold producing bodies of water in this state.

Who has gone? What did you take? Did you have any success?

I've heard its very fine gold in the Llano and not much if it. But there's only one way to find out and that is to get out and look. Let me know if you find any.

I'm from llano. Alot of people mine for gold out there in the river with not too much success. There is a gold vein running through some private property out there, its actually someone's ranch. They own about half the towns real estate.
