Hi there are a few PERMISSION SLIPS on the web that will give you a idea of how to write one up or you could copy it then print it out so you could keep it with you when you ask the land owner for his or her permission too hunt their propery & get them to sign the slip for you so if some of there children or in-laws come over & tell you to get off the property all you have todo is show them that the land owner has said it was OK for you to Metal Detect there, but make shure it has been signed

If you find something KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT! Everyone and their dog will get involved claiming ownership, if you're not thrown completely out of the picture you will be tied up for years in court, amd the only ones that will walk away with the money are the lawyers. Besides, the state of Texas claims everything belongs to them.
