Yesterday my wife went for walk. She tripped over some yard waste in front of a neighbors house and injured her arm.
I took her to the ER and xrays confirm that her elbow is broken in two places. Surgery is scheduled for later today. She is in a lot of pain and is not a happy camper right now.
The break is so bad a plate will have to be installed to repair the elbow as well as set one of the dislocated bones.
Things will be very hectic for the next few weeks.
Gotta Go.

Update: Tuesday November 4, 2008
Just back from hospital. Surgery went well. Plate installed as well as some other major work to rebuild the ball end of another bone in her elbow. My wife, Patty, is resting and hopfully will be released tomorrow, Wednesday, Thursday at the latest.
Sutures to be removed in a few weeks then therapy. Life is never dull, is it?
Dang, that sounds painful! I just saw this thread. I hope she's doing much better, or at least getting used to the inconvenience. Best wishes and good luck with her therapy! -Noodle
Dear Lord, lest I continue in my complacent ways, help me to remember that someone died for me today. And if there be war, help me to remember to ask and to answer "am I worth dying for?" - Eleanor Roosevelt

Hi Noodle,
Thanks for the well wishes. I will be taking my wife to the doctor on Friday to have the stitches removed. Will know more then. This has been one rocky road. Being a Dad and a Mom sure give one a good nights sleep.
Ijust stopped in between chores, dishes, laundry, ironing ( I am very domesticted) .
Thank God for family and neighbors who stop in with a meal now and again. Sure helps.
Good to see an update here! Still got her on my prayer list....guess I better put it on my prayer list for more neighbors too! I would cook a meal or two for ya if you were closer but since you are not...will pray there are plenty of others dropping in to take some of the load off you sometimes! ~hugsnprayers~
I just found this post here about your wife. Sorry to hear about that. Those breaks in a joint can be very painfull.
What Cynangyl just said goes from here too. Will pray for a quick and complete recovery.
Wishing you and your's all the best from my house to your's,
