Got any extra Prayers? (UPDATE) 2/15/09

Hi Everybody...I'm now 70 and getting a little worried...Had bad chest pains and shortness of breath last week...Ended up in the E R on Monday...Doc said all the test come out good but I have a little skip in my heart...Saw the cardiologist today...I have to get a cauterisation on Friday 02/13/09 he also said if I get any chest pain to call 911...A few prayers would help...I hope it's not serious.

Hi Everybody...

Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. I was a little sore yesterday. The news is not all that bad. I do have leakage in the mitral valve...that may be able to be fixed with a D-Fib and a Pacemaker...it's a combo deal. Medication won't do it. and the open chest is too much. so..I'll know pretty much for sure tomorrow when I talk to the cardiologist. Direct from my heart (no pun intended) to all of you ...Thanks for much for your Prayers and good wishes. They mean so much to me...your a great bunch of genuinely good people.I will let you know what's definite tomorrow

First..Let me say thank you to all of you for your kindness and prayers. The Cardiologist called me today and said he is increasing my meds a little and will have me in touch with another doctor who specializes in d-fib's and pacemakers. He said that will be a great help to me and I have talked to a lot of people who say they are great. In a way I can't wait to get the pacemaker..I run out of breath very easily and the teckin season is too close.

Glad to hear you are doing better. You will still be in my prayers. I had to have my chest split open in July but I have so much energy now..i can't keep up with myself....The best your way, Tom.
