98% ???

It is pewter, which here is an alloy containing 98% tin. Found a bunch of items from Germany marked thusly and got excited but it is definitely pewter.

Lol I only know because I found a vendor at the flea market who was selling half a table of the stuff for cheap and thought I might pass out before my phone caught up with me and crushed my dreams of a crazy silver haul.

P.s. it's especially frustrating because many of these items have great lustre like in your pic, which makes them seem that much more promising.

I try to pay around $1 for every pewter piece I see. I melt pewter into ingots and sell on ebay at about $10 lb.

Hope you are using a WELL ventilated area.
You do not wanna breath the fumes in any way.
