Thrift Store Gold find

I rarely find anything more than silver, but I happened to stumble across this 14k white gold ring for three bucks. Surprised how they missed this one, since most sterling rings are marked as such and are priced from 8+ dollars.

My guess on the stone is that is that it's a faceted quartz.

My only other gold find at a thrift store was a 10k gold ring I paid around 10 bucks sometime last year. I did come across a 14k marked ring, but that happened to be either plated or fake, cause the copper underneath was showing. Gave that one away.

I love finding gold and the silver tray. I found one similar to yours and the Stone turned out to be white topaz.

Oh nice, I'll have to take it to a jeweler to see what stone it is. I'm better at spotting metals than I am at gems.
