If it is the plate I am thinking of it should be 11.25 ounces. It should be worth about $180 melt value

So now I have a dilemma, just sell it at the gold and silver exchange with zero risk, or sell it on ebay.

Any sold prices on eBay? Scrapping will bring you less I'm sure. Now if it's all banged up and scratched...less money.

Why not just hold onto it. Buying it for less than 4 bucks you really have almost nothing invested.

Polish that puppy, and put it up on Ebay for melt plus 25%. 1 week auction. If it sells, cool. If not, then dump it on a melter.

Besides, It's Nixon, he deserves to be melted.
