I walked into my local goodwill yesterday and saw this had a price tag on it for 12$! I couldn't help myself and scooped it up immediately. Probably my best find to date. Though I don't know much about dome top steamer trunks, this one is very intricate with tin inlay around it and is made out of heavy oak. It also has very small metal rollers built into each bottom corner. Can anyone give me the approximate age and value? There are no makers marks in the inside. Thanks!! Actually people prefer the flat top ones so they can make coffee tables. That being said I would estimate it to be early 20th century and worth about $100.

Looks good. How is the inside? That would have been 50 bucks here. Not so common. Seen 2 sell at an estate sell not in the good condition yours is in for $100 each.

At the Goodwills around here that would have been in a glass case with a $975 price tag on it.
