Hey guys! So me and the fiance have recently started hunting thrift stores as our hobby. We haven't had much luck, but she has actually been better at this than me so far. I think I may have lucked up today at our local goodwill... I picked up this little ceramic piece and noticed the signature. I cant find out a whole lot of what the value may be, but it seems the artist hand painted and signed all of his work. What do you guys think? A good score for $1.98 I think.

Looks typical of pottery from Spain or Italy? Nice find for a $1.98.

Thank you! Yes when I research the artist it is definitely Spanish. From the 70's from what I can tell. The guy has passed. He was born in 33

So what would you guys list this for if you were selling it? If you look up his art I can only find a few pieces on Ebay. I'm not sure how much anything has "actually" sold for.

Who is the artist? Also what's the size of it and is it in good undamaged condition, meaning not even the tiniest little scratch.

His name is lario lopez. There is a biography about him if you google his name with ceramics. Also it is approximately 6-7 inches tall. I'm not around it currently to measure. There are no cracks or chips whatsoever. No wear in the art itself either. There is a tiny bit of crazing showing on the backside from where oil from my fingers got on it while wiping off the goodwill marker. It should clean up but I'm going to leave it alone.
