My lovely wife was at a well known Thrift Store & found this for me. This is the nicest Fathers day present I have ever received. It is a Canvasback Decoy that was authenticated as being made by Charles Nelson Barnard. Mr. Barnard is a famous decoy carver who hailed from Havre De Grace, Maryland. It was also possibly repainted by Madison Mitchell. I think she paid $2 for it, but that is not the point. I will treasure this.

Best of luck to all with their treasure hunts. Jim W.

My dad has a few hand carved decoys that are worth big bucks; it's crazy what some of those things go for. Nice find Mrs. Sam Cobra.

You found that in Nevada? That's odd but no unheard of. I never knew how crazy people were for duck decoys until i met my girlfriend and started going back to Cape Cod with her. Every shop has a case of them with $$$$$ price tags attached.

Nice find. Don't forget to hug your wife.
