I went out for a round of T/Sing on Friday morning. I decided to go to one I usually skip since it never seems to have anything I want. I'm glad I went. I picked up what looks to be a M. H. Wilkens & Söhne 830 silver candlestick. It was sitting on a table with a bunch of junky Christmas décor in a store packed with customers. I think that because it is not marked on the bottom and has Germany markings, others thought it was junk. Its my first piece of German silver so it took me a little time to decipher the markings. I really like the design and will have to keep it. At another T/S I usually skip I picked up a small La Pierre Sterling rim glass plate for a buck. I also got an unmarked candlestick (except for the number "8") that is testing sterling. The base is weighted and shaped like it was made to sit inside something else, so I suspect it was part of a larger candelabra.
