Help with Chinese/Japanese writing.

Bought these plates for 6$. They have either Chinese or Japanese writing on the back. A dragon on the front with flower designs.

My wife who is a native Chinese speaker says that it's not standard Chinese, possibly a different calligraphic style. It's also possible that it is gibberish, as many other countries copied Chinese styling. I think it might be an older Japanese export,as they copied Chinese style extensively for western export. I hope this helps

Those characters look like a child scribbled on the plate. Not sure what they are but it don't look like Japanese Kanji to me.
