It’s been a few weeks since my favorite GW location had vintage watches in their jars. It’s usually Geneva, Timex, and Fossils. Walked in yesterday and they had two jars and I could see some decent watches. My favorite might be the Black Luminox. Although the Acquadive is nice too...and worth more if I sell. I just hope the aquadive is real. I can't seem to find a single one that has quartz on it's face. They are all either automatic or electronic on the face as far as I can find.

Thanks! I will have to check into that further. I found an ad for a quartz watch, but it’s a different dial. I’ll keep looking. ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1550980781.448185.jpg

I can't see why that brand would a been faked?. Maybe not many quartz models were sold?. My guess it's from the later 70s. 1978-79? They may have went out of business or dropped the US market shortly after the quartz revolution came along, as many Swiss brands did with the Vietnam vets coming home and sporting the Seiko's they picked up coming through Japan. I bought some 70s auto Seiko's from a retired airline pilot at a yard sale. They were all from the 71' to 74' range. He said he flew to Japan transporting American servicemen back and forth and in those times he'd buy more Seiko's when over in Japan. He also said you couldn't get a new Seiko over here that easily, as there were very few if any dealers that carried them and many of the Swiss makers pulled out of the us market with the exception of a few around those times. A quatz movement watch made in Switzerland when that one was were pretty expensive and by 1976 Seiko was ahead of the game in producing awesome looking sport watches that were and still are in such demand. But it seems the Swiss are back with they're Omega's, Tissot and other Swiss diver's and top of the line Seiko's aren't so cheap anymore, so everything seems to be on the level these days. As for me the everyday great value rugged sports watch I prefer to put on just about every day will be a Casino Mudman. Anyways you made a great score. I like the Lumix the best.

Well that's great. Hopefully since it doesn't look like they made many quartz ones it will be rare. I looked for quite a bit when I saw it and just couldn't find any mention of a quartz one. I try to look up any new item I see people on here post so I know what to watch for myself.
