Iā€™m currently still out doing my rounds and I spotted this with the jewelry. Turned it over and saw Italy and 800 so why not for 1.99?

No other markings under the price tag. Donā€™t know if itā€™s fake or not. It is very heavy and all the sterling I have ever found is quite flimsy... probably because itā€™s meant for holding big chunks of meat down for slicing. Iā€™ve been wrong before so hopefully this is real.

Well turns out it was fake, I figured it was... the detail just wasnā€™t there and seemed like it was manufactured very crudely. Oh well lol! You win some and lose some!

This is the silver plate bubbling off

Funny... I searched ā€œitaly 800 silver forkā€ on eBay and a fork and spoon the exact maker/pattern as yours is listed for sale. 6.7oz priced at $50 OBO. They must have a clue something is off. Anyways a red flag is all the Italy silver should be hallmarked in a oval. Of course that can easily be faked. Also even a thick piece of silver is flexible. Canā€™t fake that. Live and learn.

One of my pet peeveā€˜s is people who acid test the top of an item. You should acid test the back so itā€™s at least still usable as a fork.
