I bought this for 20 dollars. It is stamped 18k WBE. Tests positive for 18k on the yellow parts but that is the only stamp on it. The band itself is a precious metal but I don’t see any silver purity stamps. Wondering if a stamp could be hidden under the gold wire wrapped around it.

I was hoping it would be white gold but I don’t think it is because when I drop the acid on it the scratch marks turn white but they stay in place until it is wiped off with a paper towel. ( sorry if that description was confusing)

It has amber ends which is why I picked it up to examine in the first place. Was hoping this would be worth something more than melt because I can’t find anything similar. I’m going to measure what gauge the 18k wire is and a total length of the wraps to give me a ball park idea of weight to length ratio. I saw a gold wire supplier that offers it in various sizes so that should give me a rough idea.

Happy hunting

I would ask $250 if it was in my store. Great find

What JimDon said. I’d list it at $250 and settle on $190. But that is before finding out who WBE is.

Thank you both. Haven’t been able to find anything. I may post the question over in what is it.

I think it is time that I make an EBAY account and start selling. Starting to accumulate a lot of stuff.

After my calculations there should be between 6 to 8 grams of 18k on it.
