Can’t post better pics at the moment but this is screaming gold with no markings.

There is a hand etched “A27051” on the piece. Stones were cut sharp and appears to be handmade.

10k acid is holding strong...14 k took about 5 minutes to dissolve.

At time of photo acid has been on stone for over ten minutes.

Did you look closely on the pin clasp. Sometimes they're mark there. How it's constructed looks good to me.

Hey Tamrock,

Can’t find anything, but here are some photos through the loupe. Tried getting that hand etched number but it was hard.

The engraving is why I grabbed it, there was another brooch I found posted here with strawberries that had a hand etched number which was 750. It was also stamped 18k though.

The more I look at this thing the more I’m pretty convinced it’s a legit piece. At first it seemed too shiny not having enough surface scratches but I can see file marks from where it was smoothed over by the jeweler in certain places. Let me know if you want some other photos.

Without a doubt it’s gold and Moonstone w/ topaz or aquamarine. Some prices on eBay are $2k plus. But idk if they really go that high. $300+ maybe more realistic. Either way, for $4, that’s a keeper piece for me!! Congrats on the score.

It’s A20705L. Not 1 at the end. I have no idea what that means though.

Gold all day! The construction to hold the stones is clearly an indicator! Great eye and great score!!!

Looks even better now. That's a pretty exquisite piece. That inscribed number might be an inventory ID for insurance purposes. I've seen numbers like it mostly on sterling silverware. My guess is your piece is from around the 1950s to the early 60s. Great find.

It certainly looks good to me. I recently had an unmarked piece that turned out to be 14 karat gold.

Tamrock I was thinking the same thing, I see it on silver plate items around military bases. I know it’s for inventory control of display pieces at each units headquarters.

Funny thing is in one headquarters all the plate is marked and needs inventories except for the one sterling piece that’s probably worth something 🤣

I've seen those hand inscribed numbers on silver plate items also.

I’ve looked at every nanometer of this thing and made a drawing of it to mark off places I’ve checked no luck.
