234 grams of German 80% for $1.11

Went for a haircut and swung by after a little ts and saw they had a few pieces of silver on the shelf. At first glance you know it's silverplate and ever this pierced bowl I thought most likely was, but had to be sure and saw the distinctive German looking silver alloy mark of .800. It was only a dollar for a hundred bucks of spot melt.

They're not common, but are often overlooked when the do show up in a ts. They're always keeping an eye out for the word sterling. Yeah I'm thinking some mixed nuts will go well in this bowl for the holidays.

Maybe? I'd get to looking now and as much as you can. This stuff is getting harder to find now days, because other are out there looking also. Makes me wonder how much I've missed, but when I'm home I believe go to the 4 stores around me at least once a day and two times to the large ones, because they're adding things by the minute in the big box shops. Just don't focus on the idea of stuff like this, as there's so many other things to spot that can be even move valuable than gold and silver.

You have to be careful with the phrase German silver which can be an alloy of copper, zinc and nickel; sometimes with lead and tin-- but containing no silver.
