Old spoon hallmark help- early American?

Good afternoon, $0.50 find today at the thrift store. I know it's old, but can't anything about the maker. I'm leaning towards silverplate, but not 100% sure. Thanks for any help!

I am guessing but I would guess early to mid 1800's. Just a wild guess.

I looked some of my hallmark references and could not find the CO in a circle of what looks like dots.

I am also on the fence about being silver plated. How heavy is it, you don't mention. Could it pewter?

A good find I think, and in my neck of the woods too.

It's 1.6 toz and feels weighty. Almost paper-thin in some areas, definitely not pewter.There's some knicks with different color, but then there's no color difference in typical wear areas. It's not my first really old piece from this thrift shop, but it's a hard maker to pin down.

I’m pretty sure it early to mid 1800’s silver but an acid test would truly determine its composition. I believe it to be a foreign mark. It almost looks like some early danish marks. I think it’s a great find and I’d pay .50 for it all day!

A Danish piece would have a 3-Tower assay mark. My guess is a 1920s-era European silverplate piece.

Correct! I’m just saying that this mark looks very similar to a danish mark.
