Took a quick walk through a local TS that I haven’t been to in about a month. National chain, lots of stuff moves through here.

Had already walked the aisle and was walking past the end of it on the way out. I took one last glance at the end of the top shelf and spied the dark handle. Price tag was $3.99

I quickly reached for it, flipped the handle over and could just make out the word Sterling along with a model number. Before I give it away, anyone recognize it or have a guess? I was quite surprised. E79666D8-11EC-47A6-A84A-B798B0AE23C4.jpeg

Yep... heck of a score for 4.

Definitely!

Opinions one selling: to polish or not to polish? eBay, auction, Facebook, other ideas?

Great condition, no flaws that I can see.

Yes.

Some things should be "restored"... this being one of them.

When it comes to silver... it is more "attractive" clean... and should always be cleaned... EXCEPT ! ! ... repeat... except... COINS.

Never polish silver coins.

Also... certain items should be exempt from polish / cleaning.

But general rule... clean ALL silver.

And as far as selling... that is up to you... some others may chime in on this...

beings I do not sell on these I cant tell you what would be best for this... BUT if it were me... perhaps high end auction.

The link posted by AARC shows an auction where one with the tongs sold for over $3000. One sold on ebay recently without the tongs for $699.

Minor addition- that one has a loose side, so not quite as good of condition as this one.

Probably will throw it on eBay, but haven’t decided yet. Checking on some auctions.

Thanks for the advice AARC
