Yesterday I picked this up at a smaller ts for $13.58... It was marked $25.00, but the jewelry was half off yesterday, so this ring is now $13.58. I looked things over carefully and on my first pass over a display of all the rings I thought all looked costume or skimpy sterling. It was on my 2nd slow scan this gottie looking ring I though was a gold plate set with faux pearls and a glass Persian looking turquoise, I noticed the workmanship. It had a gold snugging strap added and it was easy to slide out of the way to see the 10K mark. I instantly said I take this. Total weight of it is 10 grams, so it's probably has a good 8 grams of 10k in it. The pearls are real and so is the Persian turquoise. I'm thinking its an early 20th century +/- vintage. ?

Nice. What's the word stamped before the '10K' mark? Looks like it ends in '...RY'.

I'm seeing RXY or maybe V or it's a  , but more than likely not. I haven't attempt to identify this mark, as it looks like a sure mystery to me. Sometimes it's just what it is, that speaks of the treasure it might be. I did once pick up a rose gold Persian turquoise ring that had a flea size French mark, but this one I'm thinking is an American made piece. Seems around the turn from the 3nd quarter of the 19th to the early 20th century these pearls and Persian turquoise jewelry pieces were in fashion and I've never looked into why it seemed to be the thing 100+ years ago. Maybe Victoria was seen wearing it and then it took off ??

'RXY' seems to be reported on some 10K signet rings said to be American and 'vintage', but with no attribution for the mark. It means nothing to me, and I suspect it's at the modern end of vintage Americana, for which I don't have a great deal of knowledge.
