This is the 2nd time I've found a set of sterling plates. These were priced at $1.99ea. It appears these plates are often stamped on this outer edge of the inside rim on the bottom in very small lettering. Always look closely I have to say.

I got to the Saturday sales late in the afternoon and knew if there was any silver to be had it was most likely snagged up. I really believe in this case the eyes were directed to the center of the bottom. On one plate the price sticker was peeled back by a treasure hunter who looked at it no further seeing nothing there.

I have to say... they definitely already have the "look" to them as well... I would have picked them up and studied them closely as well.

Great pick... well done TR.

Nice!! I have been hunting all the are good will and thrift stores lately. Really only picking up plated stuff for a buck or two. Found a few neat pieces the wife likes. Looks like you can recover a bit if your in the mood to tinker. I’m shocked at how fast the new stuff comes in. I frequent about 6 stores in the area and the turn over is nuts.

Exellent score.
Very quick calculation puts the value at .... $75.00 per plate?

Ah yes, even better.
I was just quickly calculating the silver value. (78 grams/3 oz x 25.00/oz).
I know. Replacement Ltd. prices can often be a good comparison to use in determining a price if I was to list them for sale, which these could bring as much as spot or more.

You do know silver and you work at finding it. Do you ever eat supper with it or is it all for show? I don’t ever recall eating off such nice stuff.

No I don't believe I'll ever eat off them. To me it's just the value in my quest at mining the riches out of what has been discarded by others. So many just never know what kind of wealth they're tossing out.

This morning I’ve had “organic” on the brain. Your definition above is as organic as it gets.
I’ve been missing those random pics of your day, have a great weekend!
