Had a fantastic time down there TC your a great host and friend. I will post some things later. I took the lady of the house out for dinner and the casino since I was gone. Guess where all the luck has gone? Yep she won $$$. I tried to take it from her so I could turn a round and come back down and hunt again but no luck.
Burdie
I was kind of leaning towards the old Greek warburb
anyway, had a great time in Texas, came face to face with about a 200 pound wild boar, scared the snot out of me, but he's the one that ran away, go figure
got to eat some real wild pig roast, tastes like roast beef, really, it does
got to see the Brazos river up close and lots of clear blue skies
it was fantastic.
thanks again TC we'll have to do it again
what I wouldn't give for a video of the oddball and the wild boar encounter! lol Sure glad you guys had such a good time. Can't wait to see you in January!
Here are the pictures of items we found at Port Sullivan. You could just feel the history pulling at your feet. Sniffer or TC said it was the briars tuging on my pantleg. May be so. Well after a great breakfast we traveled a portion of an old Spanish trail till we arrived at the Port Sullivan Bluffs. The area has been hunted but large enough not to have it all found. In fact some new areas was cleared to hunt. Thanks for looking. Looking toward the east the land drops off to the Bazos river.
This picture shows going the other direction. thrillathahunt, TC, and Sniffer are ready to get started.
The master is closing in. searching for an old home site.
Some of the finds for the two days. My favorite finds for the weekend. I would like to find out more on some of them.
I like the lock and the large flat piece on the lower left...what is it? It is cool looking! Oh...and I kinda like those people too! lol Miss you guys!
Heres my best finds the buckle was found the previous weekend after it was mowed, Thats a compact of some kind, a Broken braclet, 2 Black powder gun parts, some whatsits, we found several items with fancy scrolling on them. The razor has a 1920 patent date Gillette
Wow guys those are some great finds! Stan I think that larger one on the left is a mirror back and TC I love the compact, you guys had a great time and found lots of very cool stuff and I still miss you all!
This is the day the Lord hath made we shall rejoice and be glad in it!

Can't find the Bazos river anywhere on my map.
Is it close to the Brazos River?
