sure would had been nice to find a treasure chest. Oh well, maybe next time.
Here's my finds, not much...the sandy type soil was easy digging compare to the dirt at home.
One heavy, giant zipper pull..."Serval" is what is says, I did some research...I know that serval is some type of cat, but if you search under zipper pulls it shows some on ebay. I'm lucky or what, what you think ME? That's the biggest zipper pull I ever found.
My prizes won...a compass (no idea who donated), Undersea Treasures (Scrounger), 1899 & 1914 Barber dime, 1899 IH, 1888 Morgan dollar, I'm assuming these were donated by Gargamel and 3 buffalo nickels, and of course the prize won by Alden, the lovely display of $2 bills and the 1925 Liberty dollar donated by Karen.
Spent about an hour in a little shop in PDL browsing about and found these ducks. Then homeward bound...sunshine disappeared around Mobile and picked up rain in Slidell, and had to deal with that the rest of the way home, finally arrived home just about dusk.
We really enjoyed seeing old friends and meeting new friends. To me, the most important thing is the camaraderie of it all, rather you find or win anything or not.
Bobby, a big hearty thank you for your time and patience of putting this event together For everyone who donated prizes, another big hearty thank you to you too. Cyn & Bobby did a excellent job on the steaks & potatoes, Jim fixing his fried noodles and to top it off with those delicious cheese cakes. I'm sure everyone enjoyed the MG King cakes too. Missed out on the gator cookie...just too full to eat anymore. I'm ready for another big T-Net event.

Between the King cakes and the cheesecakes - it took Chris and I an extra hour to get home. We'll call it a "weight delay"...
"The spirit of resistance to government is so valuable on certain occasions, that I wish it to be always kept alive. It will often be exercised when wrong, but better so than not to be exercised at all. I like a little rebellion now and then. It is like a storm in the atmosphere"
