Re: Stewart Beach Nite Hunt 6/12/09

I just Bought a 9" x 12" Search Coil For My Ace 250. I am going to try it out this Friday Night at Stewart Beach. I am going to Amarillo / Palo Duro Canyon June 20th thru June 26th with my Step-Dad. This is the Area He Grew Up In. Hopefully we can find His Old Stompin' Grounds / Neighborhood and Find some Real Interesting Items.
The Legend has it that Bandits are to have buried some $40,000 in minted twenty dollar gold coins in 1874. The coins were supposedly buried in a dry well that was located in the Palo Duro Canyon, eight miles northeast of Wayside. The Canyon is located in the Palo Duro State Park. "Would't That Be a Hoot"
