We have lots of History here in Liberty County....Liberty,Tx is one of the 3rd oldest cities in the state, established in 1831...William B. Travis, Sam Houston and David Burnet all practiced law here ...Houston even had two Plantation Homes here.. The Old Spanish Trail made it's way through here, lots of indians settlments, etc......The Trinity River was a big port that transported goods into and goods out of the town......

I will have to plan a trip that way and see if we can get a few folks from North Texas to do some hunting.

Always up for a hunt. My biggest problem is time. Most of my time off is through the week.

Re: Liberty County, Texas....
Go to Old River-Winfree founders day, and check it out. Find the History section, and Take a look at my relics that I've found around Old River. Listed under Boyce Morris We will be having our third foundersday in July, and I will have all my finds displayed there in the community bldg. Come by, and take a look. Be glad to for you to drop by. Hope you find some good places to hunt. Maybe check out the Liberty Fair grounds. It use to be a WW II prisoner of war camp. Good luck, and happy hunting.
