Nana's 2006 TNet Hunt Adventures!

Hello from Perryville, Missouri! Left Alabama at around 10:30 this morning and took the scenic route. First stop was the first rest stop in Mississippi, (where I found my first keeper) it was a nice shiney penny just laying right there on the sidewalk.

Went through Memphis and got a few pics, the Mississippi River was an awesome sight! Crossed into Arkansas and all the cotton you could ever imagine was being harvested...fields for miles and miles! The land there was so flat and the road so straight that if you wanted..you could tie a rope to the steering wheel, put on the cruise, and take a nap right into the next state!

Drove till we got to Perryville and decided to stop and get a room. Got settled in and went back out for dinner to a restaurant that we had passed... It's 8:00 pm....and the Ponderosa Steakhouse....is closed!

At 8:00 pm?

So we had to settle for McDonald's.

Plan to arrive in Sedalia around noon.

Nana, you're a kick! Fields and bridges, yet! You guys are having fun, I can tell.

We came in from a different direction, but our destination is the same. Snuggled into a BW just north of Little Rock. See you guys tomorrow! Drive safely!

Nice pics. This event is starting to remind me of the movie back in the mid 70's called the Gumball Rally.

Alright, the traffic lights are set to 32 miles per hour, just keep going on Sedalia!

Keep those of us back at home updated... we're looking forward to seeing all the loot and pics of our fellow treasure hunters enjoying our hobby. Wish I could be along for the fun, but I'm sure your documentary will provide a satisfactory substitution!

Today I made it to Sedalia. Yea! Very lovely area, wouldn't mind living here myself!

Met up with River Rat and then Ros a bit later. You know us gals had to sit around for a few and have a little hen party!

Ended up running a bit late...but made it to the bbq dinner and met up with all the other hunters and their families. I personally had a really great time. Truly enjoyed meeting everyone!

After the dinner we had the raffle and lots of nice prizes were won. I ended up with a set of whites headphones and Roger got my shovel that I sure did want!

That's OK though Roger.

Thanks to all who helped make the dinner such a success!
