My Second site CTH Spur....My first spur ever, UPDATED!!! Spur ID'd!!!!!

Hello all,

Mastereagle took a few great pics for me of the spur that I found at the second site that Burdie took us too. My camera would've never done this dang good. Thank you ME. I'm grateful!!!! I didn't get pic or scans of my other finds. I found lots of sqare nails, other iron (too much to list), some early bullets, one was a small two ringer, a 1900 Indian, some early clad, and a 1925 SLQ. Very good haul.
Sunday morning while at the second hunt site I wasn't very far from Burdie when my detector screamed at me. I looked down and saw what I thought to be a piece of junk... Boy was I wrong! I couldn't help but call Burdie over. I was so dang giddie!!!! It was laying there like it owned something. I didn't have to dig a lick. You'd be amazed at what you'll find in the middle of a field that has so much history. Burdie said that it was very ornate for a spur and that it may've belonged to a trail boss or something. Texas Connection believes it may be Mexican by craftsmanship. I'm just happy to have it honestly. Knowing that it may have belonged to someone (a cowboy or vacarro) that pushed stock on the CT Trail makes me happy. Thanks again Burdie for allowing that second site hunt.
If any of you folks out there have any good info on spurs let me know what I have. Take care everyone.

I am so happy you decided to come. That spur was so cool I was jealous!!! I thought he was going to trade me for my 1877 Indian but he wouldn't. I think you had as much fun as I did. Hope to see you at the next hunt. Take care of your back.

Yeah that spur was cool. Just holding it sent chills down my spine. I love the history that I get to touch in this hobby. Hey Burdie I will trade you of my fine wonderful iron relics for that IH!!!

It's my first spur. I've seen them but not like this one. That thing sure is heavy and it's not all there even.... I sure would've hated to be the horse!!!!
