"CHISHOLM TRAIL HUNT 2008" Brand the calendar October10-12th for CTH2
The hunt will be at Caldwell, Kansas. October 10-12th. The town will be waiting just like when the cattle drives came through only it will be TNetters. Ya Hoo!! The whores would set out on the bluffs and when they saw the dust from the cattle herds they would run to town. They would holler bring out the whiskey and change the sheets!!! May be it won't be quite like that this time.
Come and have a time of your life in Caldwell, Kansas. I will start posting participants in June. We hope to have lots and lots of prizes. (Not as many as LA that will be a record for a long time.)
Sign in and pick up your name tags on Friday, Oct. 10, at 1:00 p.m. and continue until 9:00 p.m. at the Caldwell fair building. You can sign up at the hunt site on Saturday if you can't make Friday night.

I don't know,I just might have to check both sites out first.I'm planning on going on a meandering jaunt starting next tue and really don't know or care on what route(s) I take as long as I'm in Phoenix the 8th and 9th.If I take the 'northern'trek,I'll return by the'southern trek.Think I'll skip so.Co this time but I want to go by way of Albuquerque one of the ways(northern) because I want to stop at the Sandia casino and give them back some money of theirs I took a few yrs ago.The other way (southern),I want to go thru Del Rio,Uvalde, and San Antonio and then I guess Lake Charles(gotta story about that place too similiar to ridgerunner's rowdy bunch in caldwell, but them cajon gals in '58 were some goodlookin' and being a young man in service,I wasn't about to let some coonass goons tell me whatfor). From there?Any suggestions?Carefull!

Hey WD,
That trip you're taking, what would warrant another quick stop in Lake Charles Ya, you're right, those coonass women are hard to handle, a lot country and pretty too boot. OHHHH Shy!!!! Ha! I was just there in December. Visited my mother who lives in Sulphur (8 miles outside of LC). The place is the same as when I lived there years ago. Although, Lake Charles does have a new casino and it's awesome. The wife and I went there before we left. You have to take I210 to get to it. I want to say the name of it was Langdulac or something like that. Man, it's truly one of the most beautiful casinos outside of LV I've ever been in....Check it out online... Once you see it you may want to give some of your money to the folks in LC....
Take care and have a safe trip....

Ohhhhhh, it wouldn't be the same without Charlie! WSD, you gonna slip by here on your way north from Lake Charles? If so, just hollar and I'll give you early directions! But be careful down in South Louisiana. They don't take no cr** from no Northerners! (That would be those north of Little Rock.)
Lookin' forward to your hunt, Burdie! Gotta get thru THIS one first!

Hey scott, didn't know you were from that area.Tell me this, going out of LC toward Dallas, before you get to Orange,tx,there was a(1958)BBQ and swim lake run by an old colored man.We stopped there for some bbq and he had these pits in the ground and when he raised that lid,he had half a beef in there and he says where ya want me to slice from?Damn best bbq i've ever had! We asked about takin' a swim and he said sure.Well, when we went to get in,there must have been 6 'gators out there watching. We asked him if this was the swim area and he said yup!We asked him how we could swim with those gators out there,he said swim fast.We didn't swim but it was good bbq.I guess 1958 might have been a little too early for you,but I say again, thos cajon gals could really do the stroll!
