Well . . . . . the rainy weather is holding off for just a little while longer so I decided to try my luck again downtown after work tonight. Just minutes after 7:00 o'clock it was too dark to detect! Oh well, I still managed to pull out a nice silver coin ~ 1947-S Roosevelt dime! I also dug a 1956 Wheat cent and some clad. The rain is supposed to come the next four or five days ~ hopefully it will soften up this dry hard ground!

This 1947-S Rosie dime is my silver coin find #82 for the year ~ only 18 more for my goal of 100 silvers for 2008!

I took pic's of the silver dime before and after I cleaned it up ~ it's actually in pretty good shape!

Thanks for looking!
Neil

Won't be long til you hit the 100 mark. It's always nice to find silver.

Congrats! I don't want to jinx you, but I think you are a sure bet for 100!

Thanks man!

I'm not worried about any JINX'n! I remember at the first of the year thinking that I'd have a hard time surpassing my 2007 finds, but that was no problem at all!

I dug 63 silver coins and two gold coins (plus 17 War nickels) in 2007. Now this year I've dug 82 silver coins and 16 War nickels (no gold coins) ~ and I've got close to three month left in 2008! WOOHOO!!!!

8^)
