Found a few things the horse left laying around, and a few other things.

No it wasn't what you thought it was. These came off a saddle. Theres an indian head penny 1888, and a 1964 nickle. I really liked the little lock. Its very old. The two items the are the same. I don't know what they are.

the whatsit looks like a decorative piece from a draft horses headstall. it went in the middle of the forehead on the lead horses of a team. just made the team look fancy when pulling a wagon or surrey around. some had feather plumes as well for keeping flies away from the horse while moving they fluttered when the horse bobbed its head. the old funeral horses from the movie, "the magnificient 7" had these.

I was expecting to see horseshoes. They are very common here.

Was going back today, but had to spend the night at the emergency room last night. Bloodpressure got to high, and had to go in. Still a little groggy today, but maybe I'll be back at it next week.

Stress level is driving my bp up, also...

I went to one of those freebie jobs at the pharmacy the other day...

Put my arm in the cuff thingie and pushed the button.

It tightened up, then went 'DING!'

Got many other things to deal with before I can even consider trying to get meds, though.

AMA sure has made it expensive to get drugs.

It's nice to see the iron! There are lots of cool iron relics in the ground. The country was built with iron so those relics are great pieces of American history if you ask me.
